Refracted, she walks the summer rainbow barefoot, a prismatic girl of brightly coloured parts.

The red one? Blood, heartbeat, anger, desire. Love, loss, lust, longing.

Orange She tans, drinking something too-bright through a crazy straw. Cliched yellow sun, green grass, blue sky.

Indigo and violet near-twins at the end of the day, and the end of the affair, louche shadows mouthing fond regrets to one another, hands twitching among the moths, restrained.

The lens of my memory makes a single image.

Reflections of a woman.

Memories dance like white sunlight on water.
